First Serve at Summit Lake
More than 800 volunteers, including those from two faiths in Hudson and another in Kent and Akron, completed projects Sept. 10 in a neighborhood around Summit Lake as part of First Serve, the First Congregational Church of Hudson’s annual day of service. KGK volunteers spent the day excavating an area of the park that was in disrepair and very neglected. "We used our heavy equipment to cleanup the area and remove years of debris so other members from First Serve could come in and spruce it up", said Ken Kuryla principle at KGK. "It was a great team and a wonderful cause that were thrilled to be involved in".
